This is now a Community Expansion. If anyone wants to join, post here saying what you want to do.

Old animations will be redone.

Neutral Special: Shell

Air

Description: Metal Mario throws either a Green or Red shell. Green does low damage and knockback, Red does more damage and knockback and is slightly faster, and it follows opponents. There's a small chance he'll throw a Spiny Blue Shell, which homes in on an opponent and produces a large blue explosion when hit.
Side Special: Boost

Air
Description: Metal Mario dashes forward, like Fox, but slower, and he keeps his momentum afterward.
Up Special: Winged Cap
Staying in one spot: Moving (should be rotated in the correct direction):

Same
Description: Metal Mario dons a winged hat and is able to fly around like Pit for a few seconds.
Down Special: Metal Tornado

Air

Description: Just to represent his appearence in SSB, it's a clone of Mario's.

Final Smash- Kart- Metal Mario gets into a Kart and is able to drive around the stage. He can hurt people just by driving into them, doing more damage the faster he was going.

--Up Special- Ramp- He doesn't really use a ramp, but he boosts upward at about a 55 degree angle and then opens up a hang glider, which works like a normal glide.
--Down Special- Banana Peel- Works like Diddy Kong's Down Special.

Well, the animations are smooth (even though they're mostly just edits of the Mario already in the game) and the moveset makes him a potential Mario 64 AND Mario Kart rep, reducing the chances of somebody getting PM'd by a noob and asked "cud u plz do 64 mrio/kart mrio."
I like it.

Thanks guys. Yeah, it was hard getting the animations to look so good.

I had to use Wayback Machine to get Mario's animations from the SSF2 Animation Archive (because, you know, it's been closed except to devs for a while), and the idle was a pain to make. It took several hours.

You're a pretty respected member here. If you ask, they might give you the Mario sheet if you tell them you're doing this.

Instead of Pit, I think the USpec should work like Meta Knight.
Think about it, the Flying Cap was more of a Gliding Cap, really. The Gliding physics are basically the same as the Flying Cap physics. Oh, and will it be the normal kart from 7, the Pipe Frame or his official kart, the B-Dasher?

Other than that, I love this moveset! Can't wait!

Perhaps. Maybe I could ask Damian. It's easy enough to copy/paste from the animations I get from the archive though.

I don't really know anything about 64, so I'll take your word for it. Would it make sense for him to do the whole loop thing? Does he do that in 64? I might just stick with what I have now, unless you can give me further ideas.

The only sheet I found on the internet is lacking a lot of things. Some of the animations it does have are missing frames. It's overall not very good. I'm sure there's a more official one out there.

It was more of a "do a high jump and glide" thing in 64.

Skip to 1:00 for what its like.


As I said, it IS a glide, not a fly. So a flip followed by gliding would be an idea.

All you did was recolour a Mario sheet and the supposedly custom animations look bad.
