I wasn't saying your stuff sucked at all, actually. Both sprites are nice.

As for the shading, it's inconsistent in the torso, and the left arm and left leg, but some minor edits would fix that.

The colouring is actually really smooth, especially if you were constrained by limits, so good job on that.
